Light New Ale Offers A Little Slice Of Tropical Paradise For Craft Beer Aficionados
Let’s face it, Saigon’s seemingly endless summer is flippin’ hot and there really isn’t a better way to combat the heat than with a glass of local, hoppy goodness. As Vietnam’s craft beer scene fully unleashes its hop-fueled fury, the latest addition to the market comes from Platinum Beer; the first of the craft brewers on the scene.
With the heat in full force, Platinum has given birth to its third beer baby; the East Sea Summer Ale. Made with 100% fresh ingredients, this ale has a pale straw colour, moderate haziness and a soft and fluffy white head. Teeming with earthy aromas including grapefruit, spicy notes cleverly reveal a long finish of orange zest over a plethora of herbal delights. In a satisfyingly surprising way, it’s like a zippy newly mowed lawn. Reassuringly reminiscent of those sweaty summer days that come to a close with your favourite ice cold brewski in hand, the East Sea Summer Ale is currently on tap at:
- BiaCraft: 1 Le Ngo Cat, D.3
- Malt: 46 Mac Thi Buoi, D.1
- Saigon Craft: 68 Ly Long Tuong, D.7
- Rogue Saigon: 13 Pasteur, D.1
